Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.

John 7:38

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

Matthew 5:16
Vision

We let people see who we really are.

As Jesus changes us and makes us like him, his message and life will spread to people around us. When that happens – the good flowing out of our lives will be real and natural and all we have to do is let what is in us show.

Our job is to let what is inside come out – not try to generate something fake. If what is inside is not worthy of coming out, we don’t try to mask it – we ask God to help us change.

This is why we have the picture of an artist and a paintbrush in our logo. The Bible says that… “we are God’s workmanship” - but it is important to remember that we are not finished yet.

Because none of us are finished, and none of us are perfect… we don’t have to pretend to be. Our job is to continue to grow and change as our character and lives become closer to God’s heart.

As our lives grow in character, so the ministry of the church will grow to radiate the love and glory of God to the community.

This is the same vision our church has always had.

One of our pastors in 1940 said… “May I urge upon all the need to… intensify the devotional life so that there may be a “spiritual glow” over all our Christian activities.

If you can get through the old English… he put it pretty well, really.

Expect great things from God.
Attempt great things for God.
